How to delete your Cleva account

While we hope you’ll continue to enjoy using Cleva, we understand that circumstances may change. If you’ve decided to close your account, here’s how to do it:

  1. Open the Cleva App: Launch the Cleva app on your device.

  2. Access Settings: Navigate to the "Settings" section of the app.

  3. Click on your name: Click on your name at the top of the Settings page. This takes you to your Profile page

  4. Locate "Delete Account": At the bottom of your Profile, you’ll see "Delete Account."

  5. Confirm Deletion: Tap on "Delete Account" and confirm your decision.

Important Considerations:

  • Permanent Deletion: Please note that once your account has been deleted, the same personal details used on that account cannot be used to create a new one. This includes your BVN, phone number, ID documents, and email address.

  • Account Reactivation: There are specific cases where a deleted account can be reactivated. If you wish to reactivate your account in the future, please contact customer support for assistance.

  • Data Retention: We may retain certain data for a specific period, even after account deletion, for legal or compliance purposes.

We recommend ensuring you’re certain before requesting account deletion.
