Daily deposit limit by deposit type
Your daily deposit limit depends on the type of deposit received into your Cleva account. Note that this limit is applied to deposits received in a single day (daily limit).
Here are the two categories of deposits we support and their respective daily limits.
Deposits with a limit of $3,999
From friends & family: These are payments you receive from individuals. For example, payments from Mary Jane or Adam John to your Cleva account. Although we support the ability for you to receive gifts from friends and family, these deposits are capped at $3,999 per day.
Deposits with a limit of $5,000
From yourself: Payments from yourself to your Cleva account. For example, payments from John Doe's PayPal or John Doe's Wise account to John Doe's Cleva account.
Freelance platforms: Payments from any freelance or payroll platform. For example payments from Upwork, Payoneer, Deel, Rippling, Amazon, Etsy, Airbnb, and all such platforms.
Business payments: Payments from a business account to your Cleva account for services provided. For example payments from ABC Enterprises to your Cleva account for services.
Can I receive a deposit above the limit?
It depends on the amount and the sender.
Deposits from $4,000 and above from individuals
Not supported at this time and will be rejected.
Deposits above $5,000 from yourself, freelance, or businesses
$5,000 - $20,000
You can receive this but such deposits will be flagged for review and you would need to provide concrete documentation to confirm the source and reason for the payment from the sender.
In cases where concrete and satisfactory documentation are not provided, the deposit will be rejected and returned. Please note that such cases will first require extensive review by our compliance team before the return is processed and that will take some time.
Above $20,000 from yourself, freelance, or businesses
Not supported at this time and will be rejected.
